Frequently asked questions
How guest passes, scanning and data work in QR Check-In.
No. The guest only needs the QR code, on a phone screen or on paper. Accounts are for residents, guards and administrators.
No. A pass admits one entry and records one exit. After the guest has left, scanning the same pass for entry is denied as already used.
The scanner fails closed: it shows “Unable to verify — access not granted” and admits no one. There is no offline list of valid passes, so the guard follows your community's own procedure.
Leaving is always allowed: an exit scan closes the visit even after the pass window has ended. Admins can see open visits that run longer than the community's overstay limit.
A display name, a category and, if the resident adds them, a vehicle plate and a short note. No ID documents, photos or phone numbers. The QR code itself contains no personal data.
No. It does not connect to turnstiles, barriers or door controllers. It tells the guard, clearly, whether to let the guest in or out.
A phone, tablet or computer with a camera and a current browser: the web scanner needs nothing installed. A native Android app is in final release testing, and an iOS app is coming soon.
English, Greek and Arabic, including a right-to-left layout for Arabic. Each person chooses their own language.
In the deployment run by your community's operator: a database you control. No third-party analytics or advertising services are included.
